In an unfortunate turn of events, Jon Hood, University of Kentucky basketball player, tore his ACL monday in a pick up game. Hood came to Kentucky in the highly touted class with the likes of John Wall, Demarcus Cousins and Daniel Orton. Hood hasn't seen much time on the floor but going into his junior year some people expected a breakout season from the 4 star player out of high school.
Speaking to some closer to the situation it seems like UK will contemplate red shirting Hood in the upcoming season. They will await a time frame of recovery to determine if that is the route they want to take. Hood could be a great contributer to teams in the following years while this year he could be simply lost in the shuffle with all the talent at UK.
