Kerry Collins a Colt?

I was very surprised to see this on espn.com last night.  It really shows me how hurt Peyton Manning really is.  It also shows me the Colts have no faith in their other back-ups!

I have always been a fan of Peyton Manning and his longevity and consistency.  He hasn't missed a start in in 13 seasons and has throw over 4,000 yards 11 of the 13 years.  He is the model QB at 6 foot 5 230 pounds and a superb professional who takes his job as serious as anybody.

Even with all this said, DO NOT take Manning in your fantasy football draft.  Even if you are in a league with Team Quarterback like my league, they are way too many good QBs to take above him and over him that the risk is not worth it.  If you can get Manning late or for cheap, then do it.  Otherwise, stay away from this one.  I have a sneaky suspicion that this is way more serious than the Colts and Manning are leading on to be.  I mean, if it wasn't, what would be the point of getting a veteran who doesn't know the system two weeks before the season starts?  It just doesn't add up.

Reggie Wayne isn't happy about it, here's a quote from him "We don't even know him, we ain't vanilla, man, we ain't no simple offense. So for him to come in here and be the starter, I don't see it. I think that's a step back"-- Reggie Wayne, on Kerry Collins
